If appointed to a coaching position within the Cherry Hill American Little League, I will:
 | participate in all league activities including fund raisers and special program |
| make sure that my team and coaches participate in opening and closing ceremonies |
| treat my players, players' parents, fellow coaches, umpires and league officials with respect |
| refrain from using abusive and demeaning language |
| set an example of good sportsmanship for my players |
| build confidence in my players by being an encouragement to them |
| abstain from smoking while on Little League grounds (beyond the parking lots) |
| refrain from using alcohol preceding my involvement with players and during Little League functions |
| concentrate on teaching baseball or softball skills that will be used by players throughout their playing careers as a normal part of the game (i.e. coach pitch, throwing the ball) |
| to focus on the development of my players rather than on a win/loss record at the minor league level |
| be a team player and act in the best interest of the league (i.e. resolve conflicts within the league leadership first without undermining the league) |
| take care of all league property including uniforms and equipment and ensure that all equipment in my trust is returned within two weeks of my final game. This is the responsibility of the head coach |
| provide my team with a reasonable number of practices in addition to games |
| follow all Little League rules as printed I understand that the Cherry Hill American Little League is committed to providing a safe, healthy and positive experience for children while teaching them baseball skills. I understand that failure to live up to any one of these promises may result in dismissal from coaching. |
